Avishai Neuman, MD
Dr. Neuman is the Medical Director of STAT Anesthesia Solutions. Dr. Neuman, a graduate of Tel Aviv University-Sackler School of Medicine, specialized in anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate following a year of internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Neuman was formerly the Director of Learn to Save a Life, a company that provided CPR and First Aid courses to schools, community centers and health care facilities. Dr. Neuman attended Queens College for his undergraduate degree and then received a Masters in Physiology from Touro School of Health Sciences. Dr. Neuman has been a volunteer in a local NYC ambulance for the past 13 years where he now serves as an on-line medical control physician. He has extensive experience in emergency medicine and disaster management and has participated in rescue operations from 9/11 to most recently the "Miracle on the Hudson." Over the past three years Dr. Neuman has worked with both adult and pediatric dentists in the OR at 4 different hospitals throughout Brooklyn. Dr. Neuman has also initiated a research study currently underway at SUNY Downstate, evaluating the effects of decreasing anxiety in children prior to surgery using video glasses.
